If you have been following along for awhile, you may know I do not drink I wrote a whole blog post on How To Do A Dry Month. My husband on the other hand loves a good cocktail. He is what inspired this recipe! He brought home a bunch of fresh pears his friends grew at their house and I wanted to use them up before they got bad. Recipe Substitutions and Variations
- Ginger beer or hard cider-This will add a nice space of flavor and you could use in place of the club soda.
- Pear juice-If you do not have time to make the simple syrup, you can use pear juice.
- Liquor-You can also use a pear brandy, pear liqueur, elderflower liqueur, apple brandy, or some sort of gin infusions beer.
- Angostura bitters-A little splash adds some flavor.
- Maple syrup or agave nectar-This can be used in place of the honey for the simple syrup.

Recipe Tips and Tricks
- Tip #1: Make sure your pears are ripe! The riper the pear, the better the flavor. Ripe pears are slightly soft and have a yellow appearance.
- Tip #2: Cut thin pears. The thinner the pears, the easier it will be for the flavor to soak in.
