Growing up I love french onion dip! After going dairy free I thought I would never be able to eat it again. This recipe will not dissapoint and it tastes just like the real thing. Recipe Ingredients
- Vegan sour cream-I like the Forager brand. This is a cashew sour cream based brand. You can also use Kite HIll.
- Vegan cream cheese-I love the Kite Hill brand.
- Onion powder and garlic powder-For flavor.
- Sea salt-To taste.
- Yellow onions-A must for french onion dip!
- Avocado oil-To sauté the onions in.

- A few of my favorite garnishes and toppings are: green onions, fresh chives, fresh parsley and onion flakes!

Vegan French Onion Dip Recipe
Equipment
- Medium sized frying pan
- Food processor You can also use a cutting board and knife to chop your onions.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces dairy free cream cheese I like the Kite Hill Brand
- 12 ounces dairy free sour cream
- 1 yellow onion chopped
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Place the oil in a medium sized frying pan. Once the oil is hot, add in the onions on medium heat. Sautee for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to low for 20 minutes while sautéing all throughout until they are golden brown. Set the onions aside or in the fridge until they are room temperature. You do not want to mix them while they are hot.
- Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl and mix well throughout. Serve cold.
