Ginger Mocktail

Equipment

  • stock pot

Ingredients

For the simple syrup:

  • 1 whole lemon Juiced.
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1.5 cup water
  • 3 inches fresh ginger Sliced into coin like shapes.

For the drink:

  • 1/2 cup club soda
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup

Instructions

  • Place the simple syrup ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil on medium to high heat. Once the syrup is boiling, reduce to a simmer and simmer for 20 minutes. Then remove from the heat and allow the syrup to cool.
  • Stain the syrup over a bowl. This will ensure you do not have any big chunk of ginger in the syrup. Mix the simple syrup with club soda and ice. Garnish to your liking.

Notes

Storage: This simple syrup can be stored in an air tight container in the refrigerator for up to 30 days. Do not mix the drink until you are ready to drink it!
