Easy Strawberry Simple Syrup

  • Sauce pan
  • Strainer

Ingredients

  • 8 cups strawberries Washed, stems removed and sliced in half.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup honey

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 15 minutes until the liquid is very red and the strawberries are really soft.
  • Strain the syrup over a bowl. You can throw away the strawberries or save them for yogurt or ice cream. Allow the syrup to completely cool prior to storing in the fridge.

Notes

Storage: This recipe can be stored in a mason jar in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks. You can also freeze this syrup in the freezer for several months.
